Decades of snowmobile treasures under one roof

Comprehensive snowmobile and cultural experience

Located at Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, the exhibition offers the visitor not only information on snowmobiles and their technology, but also provides a narrative and visual overview of Arctic life beginning in the 1960s. The permanent exhibition includes all snowmobile makes as well as the necessary snowmobiling clothing, articles and equipment.

Wide variety of things to do for visitors of all ages

The exhibition is a state-of-the-art attraction for the whole family and a perfect alternative for visitors at Santa Claus Village. The theme "Five Decades of Snowmobiling" presents both the technological evolution of snowmobiles and changes in their uses in the Arctic environment.

Come take a guess as to which snowmobile is Santa's favourite or admire a Harley-Davidson snowmobile from the 1970s.

Finnish Snowmobiling Foundation

Snowmobiling has a long history in Lapland, with traditions in both work and recreation stretching back for years. In honour of this unique snowmobiling culture, Rovaniemen Kehitys Oy and BRP Finland Oy have founded the Finnish Snowmobiling Foundation, which is the administrator of the Santa’s House of Snowmobiles exhibition.

Socially-responsible operations

The snowmobile exhibition is a non-profit enterprise, with any surplus proceeds going to snowmobile-related youth work.  All the snowmobiles on exhibit are on loan from private persons, who want to support the exhibition and share their snowmobiling memories with us.
